What is a donut load cell?
Donut load cells are compressive force monitoring and measuring components that feature low-profile and through-hole design dedicated for applications requiring the load structure to pass through the transducer, they are also referred to as ring load cells, washer load cells and thru-hole load cells. Constructed from stainless steel, through hole load cells are supposed to be installed between flat and parallel load surfaces to measure the pressure introduced axially and perpendicularly to the entire surface. Typical applications include clamping force measurement, bolt and fastener preload force checking, structural assembly force verification, press fitting test, rolling mill overload monitoring systems, and so on.
